This is the difference between pulse and continuous use. I’m familiar with this from being in the vaping hobby. Batteries have ratings for short discharges and long discharges.

The only thing I’ve found that works is an electric foil shaver (Panasonic Arc to be specific).

But in my last job I was a systems engineer for a web development company. I had to be included on all of the dev calls in case an infrastructure question came up that I needed to answer, and so I was vaguely aware of what the devs were doing.

This software would have been a lifesaver, because my ADHD doesn’t let me listen to stuff like that for a straight hour or two.

One hallmark is that stimulants have a different effect on us vs regular people. My discovery of this fact was when my friends group did cocaine. They were all bouncing off the walls and having a great time while I sat in the corner and beat my high score in Snake by 3x my previous best.
