If you’re on desktop, Alexandrite is great. The 2-column view really maximizes screen real estate.

7·5 months agoSucks, this was the one I was looking forward to, especially if it will be more affordably priced.

204·6 months agoLet’s face it, most buyers will end up spending above $30k with add-ons and modifications. Not a lot of buyers will be willing to leave it unpainted/unprotected and with no stereo/entertainment.

13·6 months agoYeah I got an email from our solar panel company that they’re filing for bankruptcy. I just hope whoever picks them up doesn’t jack up lease prices to make up for it.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•What's a good instance to be on at the moment?English
9·6 months ago.zip has the closest instance policies to .ee. A lot of .ee refugees moved there (me included). Some also moved to piefed if you’re considering that.
i cant do a seitch again

On a serious note, sticking to Signal for family group chats is fine. No need to move them over to another platform.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Best place for a community alternative to Facebook group?English
5·6 months agoAssuming your group has a considerable amount of non tech savvy people, I would suggest Friendica just for the familiarity, since it’s supposed to be like facebook and it would be easier for people to use. I don’t know if it has groups though. You might also sacrifice admin/mod capabilities. I’m not familiar how good friendica’s admin tools are (if any).

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Kia’s new EV4 is already the best-selling domestic electric sedan in its home market
2·6 months agoThey started building better cars in 2014+ and now they’re fantastic.
That was until people realized they didn’t install immobilizers on their pre-2022 vehicles (at least in the US) and the kiaboyz trend happened, then their reputation nosedived again. Not saying their EVs are bad though, they seem to be designed well. But yes, the data harvesting is horrendous.

I think it’s simply because more people use mastodon and lemmy, so there’s more incentive to work on them, and there are a lot more contributors to development.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is twingyeo.kr? Why can’t I go on the site?English
8·6 months agoFound this: https://github.com/sponsors/twingyeo-kr.
A quick translation says:
Hello, twingyeo.kr is a Mastodon instance operated by Team Onstables Co., Ltd. Currently, in order to create a ‘space where everyone can rest comfortably’, our instance is covering all operating costs with the income from the software development sector of Team Unstablers Co., Ltd., the main operator, without any means of generating profits such as advertising.
Maybe the instance is down that’s why it’s unreachable.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•How will we deal with all the broken images?English
41·7 months agoThat’s credit towards the admins who acted quickly. That’s why you’ll see instances defederate from an instance if their admin is not active and doesn’t take action against illegal content in a reasonable time, because it can quickly get out of hand. Now if content isn’t proxied and is always mirrored, not only will the admin have to defederate from the problem instance, but they will have to go and clean up whatever was copied on their instance as well.
He’s not wrong lol. I can imagine how much worse it is as an admin. It’s unfortunate that Tesseract is going down with the ship. I remember I was among the first to provide feedback when he first posted it on lemmy.
