Also, who wants that running on their phone, eating battery? Not I.
This isn’t the first app/addon that does something like that and while I kinda like it, at the same time I’m skeptical if generating even more traffic is a good way to fix the internet…

Mostly agree. I could see some use cases for this, but those are super niche. Naw, probably better to avoid for the general populace.
With all due respect, sometimes, it can be good to do a little bit of malicious compliance. It could also be called “Work to Rule”.
