minus-squarewewbull@feddit.uklinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·12 hours agoIs 3,000km impressive? It’s the distance from London to Athens. I’m sure people have done that many times.
minus-squareAussiemandeus@aussie.zonelinkfedilinkarrow-up3·11 hours agoRight i drive from Darwin a major city in Australia to the next nearest major city Alice Springs and back in a weekend. That was 3000kms or so.
minus-square𝚝𝚛𝚔@aussie.zonelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·10 hours agoI did a work trip that was twice that distance and I never even left the state 😢
minus-squareAussiemandeus@aussie.zonelinkfedilinkarrow-up1·2 hours agoYeah i never left my territory for that trip, just one city to the next haha
minus-squarenesc@lemmy.cafelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·10 hours agoDriving for more than 20 hours in two days with a speed of more than 100 kph is insane to be honest.
minus-squareAussiemandeus@aussie.zonelinkfedilinkarrow-up1·2 hours agoDifferent strokes for different folks i guess. It used to be great, we had open speed limits and you could get anywhere so fast. Now we top out at 130kmh so getting around takes so much longer and cause the road toll to go up due to the increased fatigue
minus-squarenesc@lemmy.cafelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·12 minutes agoI’m just saying it can’t possibly be safe to ride this long at high speed, even if you were pushing 200 constantly that’s 15 hours of driving.
