I’ve been playing nice, but if you want a real answer from the actual audience here goes.
You are just as shitty of a person as the one you’re white knighting against. You’re here with complete disregard for the actual community to try and win a petty and tone-deaf argument by saying “xD look how much people don’t think of you as a person xD” as if you can wield an entire population of people as a cudgel for no purpose other than to inflate your own stubborn ego. You may not be here with intentional malice, but to pretend that this is a good faith question is just naive at best.
Anyone in the trans community already knows full well that the vast majority of people do not view them as a valid person and they don’t need you to rub that fact in any more than it already is on a daily basis. You have accomplished nothing here besides making yourself look like a childish asshole.
if they were to tell me that it’s wrong to deadname corporations I’ll change my behaviour in respect, even if I disagree. we can disagree and still respect communities.
Are you literally calling a corporation a “Person”? we are in a porn community, so would it be out of place to ask you to go fuck yourself with an unlubed printout of Citizens United V FEC?
I don’t give the slightest fuck about your petty sophistry. I am telling you that thinking that bringing this question, in any capacity, to a vulnerable community means that you are part of the problem.
Spare me, debate pervert. You’re not “just asking questions” so stop pretending like there was anything good faith about this. You’re here because you can’t stand that someone would disagree with you.
YOU are the one who chose to escalate a petty and purposeless debate and YOU are the one who decided to commit to sophistry over allyship. There is no discussion to be had, there are no lessons to be learned, and there is no positive benefit for anyone other than yourself to you being here and “asking questions.” You are part of the problem and until you accept that and grow there is no discussion that can be had.
But since the only thing that matters to you is being correct in an argument:
Honestly, you should have opened with your identity, from other responses I got the (wrong) idea that you were a actually a cis guy white knighing, and was frustrated because I didn’t want their opinion. we should probably tone it down before someone draws… yuri of us? whats the heterosexual version of yuri🤮?
I still don’t recognise corpos as people, but I do appreciate your response. anyways, sorry to interrupt your gooning.
I clearly said I was answering your question as the actual intended audience in my first rant and my identity and pronouns are the first thing listed in my bio. That’s on you.
do you think it’s a good idea to ask again but this time in an actual trans non porn community? or that would just be annoying them given I’ve already asked here?
You already knew your answer before you asked here and peoples responses have supported that answer. Is there really a reason to ask again?
Just because the law says corporations have more rights than a person (in hamburgerland at least) does not make them a person with any level of emotional depth. Conflating these two things in the first place is genuinely offensive at its core and this is the type of question where legitimizing the argument is only going fuel bigotry from people who already lack empathy and/or are unwilling to listen to reason.
As an aside, sorry if I was an ass. Because I was a bit of an ass. The context in which you ask something is sometimes as important as the content though. In this case, both are not great.

I’m here to learn not to be a shithead.

lol, Asking a community for their opinion over a topic that directly involves them is “part of a problem?”
how the fuck do you even reach your options without consulting those whom it affects?
I rather ask stupid question to people in order to become slightly less stupid rather than doubling down in intentional ignorance.

@caseyweederman@lemmy.ca A trans person is calling Albert a tone-deaf sophist.
I appreciate it. Sorry about the noise.
