13 days agoMy concern would be having it break while I’m far from home. Even if not far from home it’s still a hassle to get it fixed, with the wait times and possible need for a rental vehicle. If I had a second vehicle then I wouldn’t be quite as concerned - but I don’t want or (otherwise) need a second vehicle.
It’s a shame, as I’d otherwise consider the Ioniq 5 as a good alternative to the Model Y.
Musk’s goal is to eliminate all human input - including the steering wheel. He has said “Almost all input is error. Car should do the right thing automatically.” Removing physical controls is the first step.
This is probably a mistake. But Musk is unlikely to ever admit this.
