I just spotted the first logic error.

I’m a full stack web dev. I use it for HTML and CSS (sometimes) else it’s a big waste of time trying to get working modern PHP and JS out of it. Least that’s been my experience

My websites: no cookies, no tracking, a few KB of JS, rest is pure HTML and CSS. My sites load 10x faster. Meanwhile every other company is running some overly bloated WP. Its kinda of mind blowing how dumb some of these sites are.

This is a hard lesson to learn. From now on, my guess is you will have dozens of backups.
