How do folks manage their actively hostile relationship with advertising?

I use VPN, and NoScript.

Do you have a VPN you like? I’ve never seen a NordVPN advert, and have used their service for years. Then again I have an actively hostile attitude towards advertising; that is why I’m on FEDI.

Try asking the door person for their ID. They get all offended, tho’ I can’t imagine why. /s

My issue is this. I have an EV with about 77kWh of battery, a giant powerpack on wheels no less. So I’d rather not spend a bunch more on a battery for my home, but bidirectional charging/ V2L is limited to 1800W. sigh.

Seems like it should be for the repair tech to do their job. But what if it’s after normal work hours? Are these technicians expected to work 24 hours a day? In my town, after 6pm, and or on weekends, or when the shop is closed all that restricted parking becomes available for general use, mostly. Of course I ride a bike, even in the Winter, so there’s always some place I can lock up. And when people ask me where to park, I have to shrug and say I don’t really know.

Nice! Sounds like a fun expeditioni! We’ve been doing shorter trips in our EV, less than 500km. I like that you mentioned your induction cooktop, as we got one as well for this purpose, tho’ it gets a lot of use at home. It’s nice to find new places to camp, new views to enjoy. Cheers!
