There’s a big difference between a passive surveillance camera and a network of devices that logs every time you go past one of the 83k+ spots or a car equipped with them. It’s warrantless tracking and a constitutional violation. They’ve already been declared illegal in several criminal cases, but it hasn’t reached a higher court yet. There is a lawsuit over these but I haven’t heard anything about it in awhile.

Edit: It survived a motion to dismiss and is moving forward in federal court.

The other day some girlie had all her crap all spread out in the power rack at my small gym. She kept doing circuits on other machines and coming back to do hip thrusts with the weighted bar. So weird, I just wanted to do my dead lifts and that’s really the only area for it. I went and did the rest of my workout and she’s still over there a half hour later. I don’t actually do it and sort by top hour or six hour or hot. But it could be a reason to downvote if the same post is up for days and downvoting hides posts.

My one school of thought is that popular posts at the top of the frontpage deserve to be downvoted in order to refresh the content.

I don’t really see an issue with reselling niche items. The people looking for them aren’t going to every thrift store weekly to find that exact item. They can conveniently go online and have it shipped to their door. It has caused goodwill to jack up prices and cherry pick all the good stuff for their own auction site.

I’ve bought and resold before as well as redold my old stuff on ebay but the margins can be thin unless you have a huge difference in price bought vs sold.

That is good. Unfortunately many Americans “just don’t want to mess with it” themselves. They could easily give it away directly or recycle it, but instead give stuff to phony charities like goodwill.

Unfortunately places like goodwill will jack up prices. eBay prices tend to go up as well. Other places not as much since they don’t usually do market research.
