Like any community, your’e fully in partially in or fully out.
Right now, the US wants to be a part of the international community, not contribute, but maximise it’s opportunities to exploit that international community.
Either the US needs to remove itself from all international communities or participate, or for the international communities to say F-you and withdraw from any form of dependency upon the US.
We did this with South Africa and it worked.

Right now, a dream car for many… UK prices will be at leat double that when / if it gets here.
For the longer view, this battery tech will only improve and spread to more cars.

We need many more plants then! We visited South India (Kerala) a few years ago. One city had local political and economic and educational policies for everyone growing plants and trees where and when they can. Posters everywhere extolling the CO2 capture, oxygen production and dust trapping. Wish we had the same here in the West.

Leaders: (to US) Were serious! Don’t make us cut this cord! We’ll do it… We will do it… Don’t try to stop us… Don’t try and talk a out of it…

European Citizens: (to their elected leaders) For goodness sake, cut it now, ASAP, and let us be free of those risks.
