Wish we had those coming out here. Would be nice
I installed a Linux server on an old laptop, then installed Jellyfin. It’s like a Walmart special from 8 years ago, so no graphics card outside of the integrated graphics. Doesn’t matter. I disabled sleep, and power saving settings on the Wi-Fi. I had a USB external 1tb drive hooked to it. The laptop doesn’t even have support for a 5ghz wifi connection. No issues at all. I can run 2 movies at 1080p in different rooms off the external USB drive without issue. Just go for it. I installed RustDesk on it so wherever I am I can remote to it, turn on the VPN and kick off a torrent for whatever movie someone mentioned while at work or what not. Then when I get home it’s there.
What exactly does a DragonTypeWyvern tail look like? Is it long with scales?
Nah, more likely robots will be killing minorities and kids in the streets. It will be illegal to harm the robots. They fulfill the will of the oligarchs
The people voted to drive on the street, the president is driving on the sidewalk.
Jerboa has always been great to me. Android. It uses old reddit style and reminds me of Baconreader
Really it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t effect you. I use Jerboa and I’m sure most other apps work the same, you can switch between logins within the app. So if you want to join another instance, say dbzer0, which focuses around Piracy and Anarchy, you create a login from their page then sign in in your app. Switching between accounts is fluid and then if an instance you use does something to piss you off, you can slowly stop using it.
I like to think of it like a playground. We want everything spread out a bit and not all on one instance. So if the owners of that instance start to do things users don’t like, you can just replace the softball field, and keep the slides, swings, soccer fields, walking track etc. Each one of those I would be considering your main subs you are interested in. So if someone ties ads or starts being foul on that softball field, we walk away from the pitch, and onto another softball field and you keep your logins if you weren’t based on that softball field. Everything else stays good. (We just start the softball field on another instance)
Edit: Note, the content you see between instances will mostly all be the same unless they have de-federated from another instance for whatever reasons. Some may de-federate from things that have NSFW content for instance, Piracy laws, etc. It’s always the instance holders choice, because at the end of the day it’s their hardware that is hosting whatever it was they didn’t want on it.
Edit 2: more information I remembered. Some instances support things like upvotes and downvotes. Some only allow upvotes, some neither. This is all tied to what they believe may be healthier for discussion… I believe some instances may have things about infinite scrolling as well. But app settings may include those as well. I look at it as everyone trying to find their most comfortable way they find healthy to consume content.

I liked old reddit, and Baconreader, so for me Jerboa was great
Thanks! I see what they meant that it closed on 2018, then got worse it appears now. Hopefully we can get that fixed and the ocean currents stabilized and the CO2 levels down and the animals and plant life back. One step at a time, maybe a nap first.
Yeah, I’m 35 now and I find myself doing better if I just treat them as a casual gathering but I struggle sometimes with not acting extremely mature at all times. I’m not saying unprofessional things, but I will joke, or laugh to often for some people. Had one that someone called me out for having to stand up a bottle that had liquid in it with a screw on lid. Can’t remember what the product was but I had a bit of an ADHD moment or something where I just figured, that might leak at some point, and stood it up and one of the interviews asked “did you have to do that?”. I laughed it off but it seems a strange thing to ask me when looking back at it.
I think for many people it has to do with nervousness. Also power dynamics. When you already have the job, and especially after being there for a couple months, getting on with your coworkers is easy and discussions aren’t awkward usually. A random stranger doing an interview that decides whether or not you become homeless puts pressure on people, and they dont know anything about their personality. Should I joke, what do they find funny, do they find that unprofessional, am I being to quiet, do I need to ask more questions, should I bother asking any.
A few weeks after working with Becky I know the exact number of questions to ask her and how we mesh/joke intertwine etc.
I’m dumb, is the blue the hole? What do the colors mean.
Proof I’m dumb: My best guess, there is a puddle that sometimes catches on fire and a flock of yellow warblers try to get a drink.

Maybe a CDN funded through a few non-profits, never looked into it
Yeah but pixelfed is coming out with loops, it’s been on beta for awhile, that is basically Tik Tok with no ads or government/big tech ownership. I personally feel like that could have taken a giant chunk of the Tik Tok users and kept them from having to learn to read ideograms to access content they wanted. I don’t personally use that format of social media but I tried it on Android and it looks just like Tik Tok looked that I have seen on others devices.
I love the way your legs go up and make an ass out of themself. <Stolen joke someone told me years ago. But I feel bad not giving credit
My first thought would likely be how am I going to pay this maid, then second thought would likely be that I guess I haven’t been paying her much because she can’t afford clothes. Then 45 minutes later Id realize I was a dunce that didn’t realize she was trying to be suggestive.
