You somehow still learned wrong, and I don’t understand how any of that happened. Nvidia not working well with Linux is so widely known and talked about, I knew about it, and the actual reason (which is the reverse of what you think), for several years before switching. I feel like you must have never tried to look anything up, spent any time in a place like lemmy or any forums with a Linux focus and basically must have decided to and kept yourself in some bubble of ignorance and no connection to learn anything.

How are those not things to be glad over? I’m very glad when I’m able to do those things because I’m not always able to do them. It makes me feel lucky and happy. Anyone who doesn’t feel those are things to be glad over need to check their privilege, they’re spoiled and shitty.

I’ve had that issue in several ways. Of course what you said, had an extension cord with a switch below my desk and I kept accidentally hitting that switch in the same way, lived in an apartment some years ago that had some shitty electrical work done by the previous tenant and if I had enough lamps on while my computer and screen where on and I tried to plug in my phone or turn the TV on the circuit popped, and most recently I’ve been playing games via cloud streaming (Shadow) and my Ethernet cable has lost the security tab thingy on both ends and I keep accidentally moving other cables so they touch the Ethernet cable and it falls out. Most of the time I can just put it back in an reconnect to the cloud computer but sometimes it just refuses to do that so the cloud computer shuts down before I’m able to get it working. Lost several hours of progress in various games throughout the past couple of years, but I never buy anything new unless it’s absolutely needed so I just live with and accept it '^^

I have never done this, and I’ve been on long term sick leave for 15 years due to my executive disfunction/action paralysis. I have gone months without changing bedclothes but not once taken them off without having clean ones to put on at the same time. Yeah, I had already done so for about a decade already and then they bought a brand with some of my favorite vegan products (mostly meat alternatives) some years ago and then it got real fucking personal. It’s stuff I grew up with, wasn’t fully vegan myself till 7 years ago but have always had vegetarians and vegans around me my whole life and they were some of the earliest really good meat alternatives here. It was already personal because of who they are and has done, is doing and will continue to do, but now it was a more direct change in my life and a fist in my gut. I still miss those products, but will never ever buy or eat them. The brand is called “Hälsans Kök” (Swedish) which translates to “kitchen of health” which is now ironic as fuck, and I just don’t understand how they managed to buy it. Fuck the original owners too for selling out.

Both, kinda. I want to wear socks all the time but I can’t stop myself from picking at them so they get holes within a few days. And I have sweaty feet so I always get lint stick between my toes, never found any sock that doesn’t do that. So even though I want to wear them all the time there are enough annoyances from them to make me only wear them when I go to somewhere other than my apartment where I’ll take my shoes off, like a friends place.

Dude(ette), I have nothing to do with this self hosting thing and even I knew years ago plex was shit. It’s been extremely obvious just from browsing reddit (before leaving) and lemmy.
