  • That’s self-reporting, which is notoriously unreliable. It’s not that people are lying - they just don’t know. Most people are thinking without realizing they’re thinking. They couldn’t stop their thoughts for ten seconds even if their life depended on it. It becomes painfully obvious once you start meditating - actually paying attention to what the brain and body are doing moment to moment.



  • Living in a two-story house is such a blessing - the stairs make perfect shelves for clothes. There’s a workout-clothes stair, an indoor-clothes stair, an outdoor-clothes stair, and let’s not forget the laundry stair, from where I (in theory) move dirty clothes up to the basket as I go upstairs, as well as the clean-clothes stair, from where I (in theory) move them back to the closet which is also upstairs.

    I might be a person with ADHD in a ADHD community but that doesn’t mean that I need to view everything through that lens. ADHD explains many things in my life but not all things. It might be a sensory issue for some but I’m talking about myself here. Me disagreeing with a meme is not an attack on your identity.
