I actually prefer the Jellyfin client to the Kodi client by a lot. Using Kodi on top just adds more unneeded complexity and reloading libraries in my experience.

It works pretty well for me but I separate anime and TV/movies, and make sure the anime library is only scraping data from anime-centric databases. But I’m also not watching too much new or obscure stuff.

Honestly, I think part of it was that it was a scene by the 2 weakest actors in the show. The words didn’t help, sure, but nothing was delivered in a believable way either.

The problem with Pluto being a planet is that we would also have to classify something like thousands of other objects as planets as well. That’s the whole reason it’s not classified as one anymore.

To be totally fair, if someone knew of the existence of all these ships, that’s pretty deep in Trek lore already.

You’re overgeneralizing. Final Space is just one of a category of adult animated shows with that style, starting with Brickleberry (which for the record is pretty shit and not worth watching).

I think you’re missing the context of ALL the adult animation shows that came before it, because Lower Decks does something special in that category. LD takes the typical adult animation sitcom and mixes in the optimism and character writing from the best Star Trek shows, and it does this quite well. (By the way, they tone down the Rick and Morty stuff after the first few episodes, so don’t get discouraged if that’s what’s bothering you).

Passing culture is hot trash. Looks don’t determine identity, and they are in fact entirely separate ideas. Also stop going to /tttt/ or adjacent spaces because they literally just harm your mental health with no gain, it’s the equivalent of incel shit for trans people.

It’s stupid to participate on either side of this discussion. If you think it’s not a “real” language you are applying a 100% arbitrary definition to it, and if you say it is a “real language” you are conceding that calling it “not real” even makes sense in some way (which it doesn’t).

Personally I like languages with real and strong data types but people are free to use whatever language they like most.
