Talk about wasting taxpayer money… What a joke.

Talk about wasting taxpayer money… What a joke.

We didn’t say which 6B.
Probably the ones who have contributed the least to that situation, actually…

Of course.
But politicians start preparing for a scenario, when they know it’s already happening.

You know it’s already too late, when even politicians are getting ready for it.

The Paris agreement focuses on inland emissions and fails to consider the emissions related to imported products. Do you understand this concept?
It means that a country with only services, that imports all the (physical) products they consume will de facto be doing great, while the country manufacturing the goods will go poorly.
Guess who organized and decided in Paris? The occident, who was relocating their production to Asia. Pretty convenient 🤣
Additionally, comparing absolute values is meaningless, because a country like Liechtenstein cannot be compared with China.
Finally, the projections are calculated linearly, although the rate of installations of PV and wind turbines in China is growing exponentially. So these projections benefit the West (which actually mostly sees a linear YoY growth).
If my tonality hurt your feelings, that’s not really my problem. Is it?

Considering that this website does not consider the footprint of imports and travel (e.g. incoming tourists), you must be joking, right?
A country like France (mostly nuclear with low footprint) has a big chunk of is Gdp coming from tourism and produces close to nothing anymore. They import everything.
So of course, their score would be high. But if you look at the full picture, it’s just horrible.
Anyway. I work in the renewable and meet 10 blind/arrogant/ignorant people with the same arguments every week ✌️

That’s true.
And it doesn’t contradict what I wrote. Here is something with the full picture:
https://www.carbonbrief.org/guest-post-why-china-is-still-building-new-coal-and-when-it-might-stop/

So… More plants, but less coal consumption. Meanwhile, they install PV and wind turbines like there’s no tomorrow.

This is called misadaptation and our electricity needs will increase so much, that even the renewables won’t be enough (electric cars, tractors, Datacenter, etc).
We should conceive cities with more trees, shadows, possibility to let the water flow through, etc.
Air conditioning should be reserved for places such as hospitals.

When everybody has ac and a nuclear plant needs to be shut down because of jelly fish, it’ll be fun!

Ah ! Yes! The solution to our problem! Looking away and increasing the temperatures even more. /s

Does Pau need to burn down for Bayrou (previously Mayor of that city) to stop spreading the nations legs to O&G and Chemical lobbies (F SEA, etc)?!?

IEA: “The world is moving to renewable energies and we forecast even more renewable energy projects”
USA: “Stop saying that or I won’t join your party”

Only one solution left. Completely close NASA, so we don’t get these reports anymore! /s

Profits for Trump’s oligarchs above all!!!
FTFY

Wow. So many empty words. So little time. You use exactly the same fallacies as O&G PR people. So either you are one of them, or you are a useful idiot.
In any case, sharing an article without any comment is an endorsement by default.
And the articles does isolate renewables, as if none of these problems occurred in any other industry. If it is shared by other industries, then it’s a social problem, not a renewables problem and the article is therefore de facto biaised.

It’s not whataboutism. It’s getting the priorities straight and not getting distracted by false problems.
What is raised in the article is not specific to renewables. It’s pretty much generalized as soon as you have private interests.
So isolating renewables is improper and demagogic.
If someone still wonders about the fall of Rome…
