Not the person you’re responding to but if I wanted to turn an old Asus MeMO Pad 7 into something I could stream from my PC with, would you advise me to install Postmarket OS, LineageOS, something else?

4·2 days agoOh I mean he’s definitely gonna head to the holodeck to jerk it, but he probably just uses a stock character. He seems in too much of a rush to feed a real person’s data into the computer and tweak the settings and everything. As we saw with Janeway and her Irish caricature guy, tweaking the settings is a long process.

20·2 days agoHas Riker made holograms of real people to smooch with? Because “using the holodeck for sexytimes” isn’t the problem; everyone does that. It’s the “using real people” that’s the problem. Same reason people were creeped out or offended when Barclay did it.

14·7 days agoObviously the canon explanation is now that it was all caused by the Augment Virus. However, what they SHOULD have done for the explanation was say that the Klingon Empire is an EMPIRE, composed of many planets across vast regions of space, and that the Empire therefore included many conquered species, all of whom shared the demonym “Klingon” in the interests of imperial unity. TOS Klingons could then have been explained as one of the conquered species who embraced their new Klingon culture wholeheartedly, and the redesigned Kelvin Timeline Klingons could have shared that same explanation.
Acceptance of diversity could then be said to be why Klingons and the Federation get along so well, since they both share the same vision of galactic harmony, but the Klingons simply believe this can only be achieved through conquest.

5·9 days agoThat one actually has an explanation. Apparently by the time of TNG, nobody actually speaks French anymore. Picard gets annoyed when Data describes French as an archaic language. Maybe the English language became the primary language of the European Union? It already is, to some extent.

61·9 days agoWhy did Neelix have an American accent? Why do some Cardassians like Gul Dukat and Elim Garak have American accents and other Cardassians like Gul Madred have British accents?

I’ll give that a try, thanks!
