TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•What are you even supposed to do?
91·3 days agoI go back and forth. Sometimes I like seeing the “here’s how things could be if we were all incredibly competent and reasonable” and sometimes I like seeing the more realistic struggle.

TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•Records indicate it had quite the fan following, too.
7·6 days agoMaybe there’s just so much available that it’s too obscure.
IMDB has about 300k shows, and that’s presumably missing a lot. At the increasing rate that new TV shows have been created, there could be billions in another 200 years!

26·6 days agoWell I didn’t expect to actually find an answer, but apparently the artist regularly includes little objects like that in his comics. The number next to his signature is supposed to indicate how many there are to find.
For example, here’s another one with the pie in it, with a number “1” indicating it’s the only one.

41·14 days agoThere was some fediverse drama a little while ago about when/if defederation is justified, which resulted in some infighting and strong opinions. This is almost certainly someone with an axe to grind against .world following that.

91·14 days agoPeople noticed that all posts to TenForward were being lifted in full (including anything the poster wrote in the post body) to the dbzero risa community. Every post is showing up after an hour or two.
The gumgum account that is doing it is one of a handful of accounts that are botting various communities in the same way. The accounts are not labeled as bots, and they are not using the crosspost function, which makes it seem like the intent is to artificially create activity in these communities without transparency to the users that these posts are coming from elsewhere on Lemmy.
I’ve received messages from posts I’ve made (not on tenforward) where the person realized they were replying to questions by “me” that were just reposted by the bot. It’s pretty lame.
