1·27 days agoThere are nine books and they all (give or take a few) follow the same main cast. Extremely minor time-skips excluding the following. Spoilers:
Tap for spoiler
There aren’t any time skips besides for minor ones, except at the end of the series, after the destruction of the ring network and the death of holden, where there is a massive time-skip to the point one of the ring colonies develops sufficiently advanced interstellar travel, to the point they are able to visit earth and be greeted by the now-immortal Amos.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•cheapest way to connect several SATA HDs via USB?English
3·3 months agoI mean, cheapest way I think would be to go on aliexpress and find the best price for a USB-SATA adapter and just buy a ton of them. Be careful with power consumption though, spinning up disks can be power hungry and your hub might not like it.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•cheapest way to connect several SATA HDs via USB?English
3·3 months agoThis is PCIe, not USB. Although if OP does have an unused PCIe slot they didn’t mention in the post, I do agree a second-hand LSI card is by far the most cost-effective way to connect large amounts of SATA/SAS drives. And you get much better performance than USB as a bonus!
