I found this article interesting because big tech seems to care so much about scanning, that they are pushing on this.
Unfortunately the article doesn’t really delve into the privacy precedents and implications it would set, and mostly voices the arguments of big tech.
Let’s hope it’s an accident. I have an app that allows for voting by swiping on a comment/post. It used to be quite sensitive and I found out I had down/up voted unintentionally when swiping back a couple of times.
The (tabbed) ui on macos looks so much better now!
Time will tell. The words of AnkiHub are quite comforting, as it seems they are a small organisation focused on med students. It also seems they were surprised themselves with the offer they received when asking for collaboration.
They also say they will keep it open source 🤞
Firefox is adding an option to add notes to tabs. It is possible to enable it in beta and nightly (not sure about stable) with browser.tabs.notes.enabled set to true.
