I imagine cleaning up after “beep beep chair” Captain Pike wasn’t a popular job either.

It’s a shame because there’s a great episode where Tendi isn’t able to access her normal Starfleet life in the area she’s living, and she has to turn to piracy. It’s got a really interesting message, about how sometimes people don’t want to be pirates, but because of their location, they’re forced into piracy.

Lots to think about there, about the location and the piracy.
