I didn’t fucking want to go vegetarian, but I did because there is no denying the meat industry is unbelievably cruel and irresponsible, not just to animals but the people who work in there as well.

That’s what it takes to change the world:

Live by the values you claim to hold. There’s no other way.

It is related to the increased calls to encourage the adoption of free and open source software, which are alternatives to corporate products. 🙂

Is there a neglected sidewalk island near your home? Plant rosemary and thyme plants.

Is there any water near your home? If not, find a shallow bowl at Goodwill, put some stones in it, and start a watering hole for insects, birds, and critters.

Volunteer to help plant trees and remove invasive species, pick up garbage from streams, maintain trails and green areas

These are all things we can do today or in small increments as time allows.
