If I had the ability to restart my life over, I would probably never get past 5.

I am 50 and was just recently diagnosed and started taking meds.

The difference has been night and day. I still struggle to take my pull in the morning sometimes

I look back on my life and wonder what I could have accomplished if I had been diagnosed and treated earlier.

But that leaf, that briefly looked like a turd, made me do a double take.

My wife works with a renewable company that has most of its projects in Texas.

She tried to engage their company to provide support and they were like, “Lots of people need help. There are wildfires in Utah.”

She thinks there is a pretty big nationwide prejudice against Texas.

If so I get it. I feel like Texas shoots itself in the face, constantly, because the voting right is just soo dumb.

But these were little kids and poor families. Yes it was preventable, but that just makes it more tragic.

We failed them already and now we are failing them again.

I got Crunchy Roll, some time back, for my daughters and saw it on there, but it was only the few episodes I had seen before.

I have no issues pirating, especially after having content I FUCKING bought get pulled. (Looking at you, Amazon Prime).

I first saw a few of the first episodes of this back in 1993.

I have never found anything else since.

My wife can remember where we were, what we were wearing, and what the conversation was, to seemingly everything we’ve ever done. (She can actually play recent conversations back in her head.)

Meanwhile, I just remember impressions. They can be pretty visceral too. A smell, a sound, and the emotional response that I had to a place.

But name, location, decor… not a chance.

But I think I have some form of aphantasia too, since I have a terrible time seeing any details in my head.

The hoops my wife has to jump through, to look a certain age professionally, that I just never even had to consider, as a man.

When she was younger, she had to look older, to be taken seriously, now that she’s older, she has to not look so old, to be taken seriously.

The biggest shock in my life though? When she went to work for a company that provided services to get international companies, she found men from Europe to be much more sexist. Well, the way she put it was, she didn’t know if they were more sexist or more comfortable being sexist.

When they visited the office, she had to wear a dress, no “pants suits” as they put it, and had to have heels.

Was routinely excluded from social events. Was always the one asked to take notes, get coffee, etc. She also said they were more overtly racist as well.

I was surprised considering I was raised online to believe that Texas is the bastion of hate and racism.
