He took a day longer to arrive, but has been with me since yesterday and seems to settle well. Not sure about a name yet. It’s so good to have someone to care for again, keeps me from going down depression lane first thing in the morning because I’m busy with litter box and cat food.

I tried to eat the berries but heat induced migraine fucked up my digestion. I’ll try to stay positive and go dancing in front of the flickering light of the wildfire instead. All is fine.

I made a tasty lemon cake because life has blessed me with more lemons than I can turn into lemonade. Kid told me he might be able to visit soon. I adopted a kitten (going to get her tomorrow). Had a few really nice visitors and we talked about women’s stuff, community and multilingual poetry. I’m noticing with some surprise that I start liking my lemony life again.

Those who were not adopting the fossil fuel intensive, machine based methods the industry was peddling were forced to sell long ago - that’s why farms tend to be huge. Those who are now farming these huge pieces of land bought it up from farmers brought below the poverty line, and now they are forced to do industry farming or drown.

I did not smoke for over 24 hours! Since weed and tobacco were running out at same time I decided to take the plunge and not buy more. I made so many unsuccessful attempts at stopping recently, this one feels different. I finally managed to feel comfy being single and it starts feeling quite good, this being gloriously and forcefully myself.

I also scored some freelance work projects again, very surprisingly, since the AI hype there had been nothing for over a year. I didn’t even have a Windows machine at home anymore when the jobs came in and had to scramble to reinstall the stupid thing again (of course my laptop didn’t want it back and it took some effort). So I guess having to have Windows again is the only bad thing in a pretty good week.

Inter-Species Mutualism here! Nice list, now if every person on the planet gets to choose and realize their personal ism - that’d be anarchy, right?
