I’ll tell you why we stopped in America. The Three Mile Island incident was 12 days after The China Syndrome hit theaters, a movie about a reactor meltdown. That’s it. That simple. People freaked out and we shut down plans for new plants.

Tempting to try this and diff it. My most complex PowerShell scripts aren’t testable as they were company/task specific. Plus, I killed my X account long ago. :(
The Oregon charts are surprising as I understood most of them don’t have AC out there.
Fuck off. Bexar County 2024 voting:
Donald J. Trump /JD Vance 336,260 44.46% 71,404 8,892 255,964
Kamala D. Harris/Tim Walz 408,981 54.08% 74,997 22,964 311,020
Even the reddest counties in the US had significant votes against Trump.
I’m 54 and it was regularly 100F+ in Oklahoma in the 80s.
Ook?
Familiar with The Churn from The Expanse novels?
Lemmy: “tRumP VoTerS aRe IdioTS!”
Lemmy: “Aww! I so believe this is real!”
I was just going to comment that some people are dumb enough to believe a bunch of homeless, likely traumatized, dogs will just go inside and lay peaceably together. And there’s your comment!
If you’re young and hopeful, hang onto that. If not, please don’t vote, drive or reproduce.
EDIT is where I learned about keyboard shortcuts! And we do not speak of EDLIN.
Too complex for someone that isn’t already interested. Hell, the vast majority of users couldn’t reinstall Windows if they lost the restore partition.
Maybe school them on a live USB “install”? That’s how I started oh so many years back. No risk, easy way to get comfy with a test drive. And if they like it, there’s always (?) an install button.
OTOH, dumb as it sounds, seems like most people don’t have a handy USB drive these days. At my last job, a software dev, I don’t think I talked to a single end user that had a USB available for a Windows reinstall. Weird.
I’d recommend a Debian distro. Whatever one’s preference, Debian just works and seems to have the most documentation, especially for noobs.
Straight dude here. That is one HELL of a sweet pic.
In 2022, the Biden Administration passed the Inflation Reduction Act, extending a tax credit that covers 30% of installed system costs through the mid-2030s.
And yet the installations crashed 2-years later. We can see how jacked up it is going forward, but why does the article not address past causes?
solar installations declined 31% in 2024
Trump wasn’t in office. Those bullet points will make things even worse, but other factors preceded Trump.
I don’t have an answer. Look at the map, the Mississippi is one hell of a watershed. How do we keep the farmland fertilizers out of it?
I studied horticulture, first time I understood what the quadratic equation was really for was when tasked with optimizing fertilizer spread. Farmers aren’t slinging that shit around for fun.
Best I got is cracking on animal waste. Oklahoma was suing Arkansas for all the poultry waste coming down and destroying the Arkansas River. No idea what became of all that, couple of decades since I’ve been there.
I know why they do this. The last guy’s core job was Ask Jeeves, but he was involved in and at least touched all those other technologies. HR looks at last guy’s resume, figures those are the skills needed, posts a mess.
SOURCE: Been the last guy, seen my replacement posting.
Gods yes. Destroy that data, per written policy. Who the fuck wants to pay a team of lawyers $500 each to hunt through your data.
keep longer are things legally obligated
Bingo! Then smoke it, automatically and forever.
