I’m a Windows sysadmin, this is the exact explanation. The only other thing, and this is going way out on a limb, is that terminal was installed through the Windows Store and something related is busted. I’ve never even heard of a company utilizing the Store for installations.

Yeah, the land use doesn’t bother me, it’s the herbicides and pesticides nuking the bottom of the food chain. And somehow no one seems to have noticed the radical decline in the insect population this century.
OTOH, lawns take up far more space and homeowners are nuking those to death.
I seriously doubt that land use approaches those numbers today. I’ve seen courses close over the last decades, have seen none built.
I’m no golfer, but many have come into these sorts of threads and saying course are making them more nature friendly. But no my friend, that grass requires intensive care, can’t be anything approaching natural.

No one’s convincing me Americans are so broke when they use apps like this. It’s like the mid-price grocery down the street being bumped off by the new place, most expensive in town and 1-mile further for most people.
Now our second Aldi has moved into the mid-price store’s building. Aldi’s mostly empty while the most expensive store is jammed SRO. For context, this is a small redneck suburb of a poor city, not exactly bougie.
The main benefit of Prime is savings on shipping. Without it, Amazon’s far too expensive. Maybe they slow shipping speed for regular customers, but seems like they’d shoot themselves in the foot. Who pays extra shipping and waits twice as long? In any case, if you’re going to use Amazon, you’re all but forced to buy Prime. Which is fine by me. I can’t afford the 20-mile roundtrip to town and the extra price on other sites.
Of course this is a thread about software where people pay $40 to get cold McDonald’s delivered, so maybe consumers are even dumber than I thought.

Haven’t used that particular doc, but what they had posted when I built mine was the clearest, most complete tech documentation I’ve ever followed. Big fan of Digital Ocean! Think I’m paying <$7/mo. for the server?
Not necessary, but if you want a domain name to point to karashta.whatever.name, NameCheap is my go-to registrar. Like Digital Ocean, cheap and comes with top-notch tech support.

Knew I wasn’t quite understanding you! So yes, electric is more efficient.
But the problem being addressed here is range and people’s confidence. If an onboard genny brings in the buyers, I’m all for it. In fact, I’d feel much better buying an electric truck if I knew I had, “Oh shit!” backup power. Had an old truck with dual gas tanks, flip a switch to cut over. That’s some nice security!

Gasoline is inefficient
Um… the problem with getting off gasoline is because it is so efficient. There is a shitload of energy in a gallon of gas. I don’t think efficient is the word you were going for. Or, think of it this way; Would you tell the military that they should convert to electric tanks and planes for better efficiency? (That may be a bad comparison, but maybe it gets the point across.)
Also, it’s a regular electric truck, just like any other EV. Only difference is an onboard generator to charge the battery if you run out on the road. That’s a simple, well understood solution. You may not ever even use it! And if it gets EVs in the hands of people that were reluctant over the limited range, that’s a win!

Group Policy and Windows Server Update Services fix a huge amount of issues in corporate domains. If you know PowerShell and Active Directory, a windows fleet is easy to manage. Linux has nothing like the above except for auth through LDAP.
What do you get when your search “terminal”? My home rig defaults to PowerShell, but I likely changed something years ago.
