I am annoyed by (but respect) APIs that take it a level further and don’t even give you a 403 to say you’re unauthorised, they just give you a 404 because anything else would acknowledge that the resource you requested actually existed

Programming@programming.dev•I had asked a question regarding how could phones get possibly hacked, and this was the response I got. Is this a suitable forum for discussing about hacking and internet security ??English
5·11 days agoYou posted in a meme community and filled your comments with emoji, I don’t imagine anyone thought you were being serious
Not to be too snarky, but was there ever an assumption that stuff you put in wasn’t being used to train it? Safe to assume that any online service you’re using is making use of the data you’re giving it.
I always recommend keeping those backup codes saved in the notes of whatever password manager you’re hopefully using
Wouldn’t this undo some of the security of even having 2FA? If your password manager was somehow breached the attacker would have all your passwords and your 2FA codes, right?
This is great. And an excellent lesson as to why you comment your hacks!

destroyan existing pizza.terraform destroyis implemented on the client side, by consuming the pizza.
it’s doing something right
That’s where the problem lies, we know it’s doing something right but we don’t understand what or how it works, we’re too reliant on it to change it, and the workarounds we have to make to accommodate it are a pain in the arse.
As an aside, a Scottie dog called Haggis wearing a tam o’ shanter is an adorable character for a children’s book

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Alternative app store AltStore raises $6M, connects with the fediverse | TechCrunchEnglish
27·6 months agoIt says “alternative app store”, not “alternative iOS app store”, “alternative to Apple’s App Store” or even “alternative App Store”. The term “app store” is used pretty generally nowadays, there’s no implication in the title that it’s even talking about mobile apps!

30·6 months agoThis article vaguely hints but doesn’t actually say anywhere that this is for iOS apps

Maybe I meant unauthenticated. What is this, mandatory cybersecurity education!?
