Not sure if you can filter out shorts within browsers with something like ublock origin filters, may need to look into it.

Agree. There are dozens if not hundreds of Linux distros, I’d they want different, try another. Just keep it simple, secure, and windows can fuck off. I have bazzite on a gaming laptop for games with the kiddo, Zorin on my main laptop and desktop.

And before I get shit for having so many devices, I save devices the clients were going to trash because it was “old” and not reliable enough for professional business environments. Which I do agree a bit. Most of my devices are 8th or 10th gen Intel, I replaced the nvme with my own and canibilize memory, I’m not rolling in several thousand dollar systems. And I give away SO many to neighbors, full systems, laptops, monitors, etc, ready to go. Wasting tech is against my religion.

That’s for commercial use. There are thousands upon thousands of cameras all over, there is nothing illegal recording you in public. Look at Teslas, cameras on all sides, I’ve got a dash cam front and rear. Nothing you can do about it in america, it’s protected by the first amendment in public.

On private property it’s a different story, but you cant trespass someone’s eyes, if they can see it, they can record it. Think of how many ring door cameras capture people daily.

You mentioned public, I was just clearing it up. These threads always get comments about recording in public, which isn’t illegal in the slightest. But you can still piss off the wrong person.

Recording in public isn’t the issue, there is no expectation of privacy.

I don’t do enough illegal shit to be a problem. I block 99% of ads, etc. if they really wanted me, my license plate is tracked all the time via cameras. If they really wanted me, come get me. You have to find the threshold that is acceptable to you, nothing is 100% secure without a LOT of preparation and work, which I just don’t care enough about.

I’m not out here hiding bodies, there are larger issues/people to worry about.
