i have done about half a year with a Braun IPL and it’s slowed but not stopped my facial hair growth. Used to be about 10-12 hours to see growth but that has been extended to 24-30 hours. That’s with near translucent pale skin and dark hair. Unfortunately even if i can’t see it I can still feel it so i’m saving up for electrolysis!
you’re not supposed to put on cream or lotion or even get in water for 24h after epilating because you have ripped the root out and the protection that’s supposed to be present is missing!

when i canceled things with my therapist and told them that the reason was that i didn’t trust that their notes about me would remain private and would in fact be used to hurt me she was shocked and told me that was ‘impossible’. I was quite dismayed to learn that there was no way for me to have them destroy those notes already taken the practice staff told me that they were required to keep them for insurance purposes and i can’t afford any lawsuits.
And here we are and I’m not surprised but i am dismayed and i’m glad i didn’t tell my therapist a lot of things.

the struggle is real! I have been trying to put my earrings in since yesterday morning. Have done many other bathroom related tasks but somehow still no earrings.

it’s crushing because I also have cptsd and bipolar disorder so sometimes the stars align and i’m incredibly productive because of mania+perfection trauma but usually it’s just depression+depression+paralysis while you recall how functional you can be and loathe yourself for not being able to perform. lot of self-loathing tbh. But i do love myself these days and even when i’m spiralling i have learned techniques to pull myself into a stable position.
