Most European utilities have given up on the idea of green hydrogen and are preparing to phase out pipeline networks and invest in battery storage instead.
It was always a very poor plan to blend H2 with Natural gas for regular heating. It wastes the value of the H2. In pure form it could make cheap electricity with useful waste heat in homes, but blended requires very high NG prices (even including carbon taxes) to just burn it through a chimney.
