Mel Gibson has always been weirdly obsessed with torture, and depicts it in his movies, a lot.
Braveheart, Leathal Weapon, Conspiracy Theory, Passion… all contain torture scenes, and that’s just off the top of my head.
Apocalpyto has it I’m pretty sure
That one and Passion are closer to snuff films than actual entertainment, to me.
I haven’t seen it since it came out, but I remember liking Apocalypto
I’m not saying they’re bad movies, I’m saying i don’t find that content entertaining. Ditto movies like Babyl, Requiem for a Dream, Kids.
Life is fucked up enough without my escapism fucking with my head.
