It’s really interesting to see that old fursuits are still around, and that they apparently keep changing hands. Fursuits always feel like something incredibly personal to me because they’re usually your fursona, but I also get the appeal of buying a suit that has a history. A very cool find, thank you for sharing it here :3

Dunno about any “keeps changing hands” cases, unless that’s common theme on Gale’s “This Old Fursuit” articles?

AFAIK for both 90s makers I can name off the top of my head (Shawn Keller and Robert Hill), the story went something like:

      • made a ton of personal fursuits cuz they wanted to, that was their craft
      • ran out of space in their home or fell on hard times and had to sell some
      • almost all of them went to a trusted friend for storage, who obv let the maker still wear their own OCs when they wanted to

I don’t know if it’s common tbh, I just see people who got other people’s “old” suits from time to time. Giving suits to friends for storage makes way more sense to me, though. Either way, it’s just nice to see that fursuits don’t just “disappear” like your old computer when you get a new one.
