The body lotion I normally use is running out, but it’s kinda too expensive for me to buy another one of so I can’t. All the ones my budget allows me to buy are perfumed, but I’ve heard that those can irritate the skin or make the irritation from shaving even worse. Is that true?

What I’m planning on buying for reference: https://www.amazon.com/Nivea-Aloe-Hydration-Lotion-400ml/dp/B079KGC4NZ

Some people’s skin are more sensitive than others. Buy what you can afford and do a test patch - maybe your skin won’t mind too much. Or maybe it works well enough on less sensitive areas, and you can save money by using smaller amounts of the pricier lotion on the more easily irritated parts and the rest with the scented lotion. Good luck!

I avoid perfumes due to sensitivities, both skin and nasal, but I think it really depends a lot on your skin type. You can always consult a dermatologist for the best answer if you have access to healthcare. But generally it’s a balance. Some moisturizer is usually better than none. Also, some expensive moisturizers tend to be thicker than necessary for effectiveness. You often don’t need to use as much as you might be used to using of the cheaper stuff. Or you can often mix with cheaper ones or even sometimes just a bit of water or inexpensive moisturizing oils to make them spread more before they soak in or evaporate.

I’ve read better things about [eos lotion](https://www.amazon.com/eos-Cashmere-Moisture-Lightweight-Non-Greasy or I like [honest lotion](https://www.amazon.com/Honest-Hypoallergenic-Naturally-Botanicals-Sensitive/, not because Nivea is necessarily heavily perfumed, just because of the ingredients: glycerin and alcohol being one of the first ones.

If lotion only specifies it’s perfumed, then it probably isn’t hydrating/more chance of ingrown hairs. Best of luck!

Thanks for the response! I’ll check for those ingredients in anything else I find. Sadly though eos is WAY too expensive (costs ~4 times my current lotion) and Honest isn’t available in Turkey :(

Just an FYI: I think you’re cutting out too much information from your URLs, that’s why they’re not functional.
