    It’s like the trans version of acting like (fictional and/or historical) gay couples are just really close friends, who shared a house, bedroom, and bed, for their entire adult lives.

    Or like a reverse egg. They’re in denial about someone else being trans lol

    Watching japanese dudes keep writing cross dressing semi-gays as a punchline really feels more like an admission than a joke, in many cases being somewhat plot relevant in a really obese way to justify its exaggerated presentation.

    I like Persona 4’s Kanji. They still make his ambigious sexuality the butt of jokes, but they give him an arc about tackling his sense of shame and leave it at a pretty open end. It’s a game from 2008, but the main thing is that he stops caring if someone’s a “dude or a chick” when it comes to attraction.
