I’m currently driving my BMW i3 from Cincinnati Ohio to Flagstaff Arizona (posting this from Albuquerque). This was impossible only a year or so ago. There have been a couple of times when I was nervous about distances between chargers, but the, ‘A Better Route Planner’, app makes it foolproof. Especially if you connect it to your OBD2 port.
I have the 94 Amp hour BEV, without the gas range extender. On a good day I have 130 miles of range if I don’t take it on the interstate. At 75mph, like Texas and New Mexico, I have about 90 miles.
I love this thing! I’ve had mine since 2018 and I’m starting to consider upgrades, but none of the new crop of electric vehicles is nearly as compelling as this.

Which size battery have you got? People might not realise what you’re actually doing.

For others, 94Ah is about 32kWh.
