I feel like it should be called “primary” labor or something to that effect. “Skilled” labor that can’t function without “unskilled” labor to support it can be called “secondary” labor.

Seems to make sense to me. The “and the government doesn’t want them to” part is the explanation for why it is nearly impossible to get.
There is some degree of distinction, I’d say. Bisexuality is attraction defined by the male/female binary, pansexuality is attraction regardless of gender. A person can be bisexual and attracted to cis men and cis women, but not pansexual if they aren’t attracted to trans or agendered folks.
Granted, a lot of people who say they’re bisexual are probably actually pansexual, but stick with the label that is more widely used and understood out of convenience.
It’s just that we have to make space for our 5,358 partners and the telemetry data they need.
You can moderate communities on other instances, but you can’t create one yourself.
Grabbed a screenshot of the mod list of !onehundredninetysix@lemmy.blahaj.zone, for example, which shows a few different instances represented within the mod team.
Unfortunately, the average Mastodon user is generally opposed to Trump apologists.
Just ban country music and you’ve covered like 80% of it.
To clarify, there is no compromise of encryption protocols, but they are using social engineering to trick users into giving up their credentials.
Never trust any QR codes, especially ones from an unfamiliar source. All someone needs to do is grab the basic QR code from the login page, send that to you with a simple “Scan to add me as a friend/join our group chat” message, and you’ve inadvertently approved someone to access your account—no “hacking” required. That is what is happening here.
Welcome! Happy to have you!
Undershirt with a zipper on back, sweatshirt with zip-up or open front over it.
Yeah, it had the largest community for Final Fantasy XIV on Lemmy up until they announced the planned closure. At least there’s an alternative on .world.
That being said, just because other laptops are cheaper doesn’t make them better. I care about minimizing e-waste, so I prefer to buy durable devices that last. For that reason, I bought a Macbook 12 years ago that still works fine, while a friend of mine is on his 4th laptop in half that time.
It’s an illustration of the Sam Vimes “Boots Theory”. Not saying that buying overpriced Apple hardware is the way to go, but just that it’s important to look at more than whatever’s cheaper, since a lot of laptops that look like they have good hardware for the price are not meant to last more than a couple years.

YES, it’s insane. It’s like saying “be a decent person” and people going “Fuck you, commie bastards, I do what I want.”
Sadly this is already settled law as of March of this year.
The Supreme Court case Trump v. Anderson ruled that states do not have the right to determine eligibility for federal office.
A state could bar Trump from being elected in a local election or being appointed for a state office, but do not have the right to declare him disqualified for a federal office based on state laws, or even a state’s interpretation of federal law.
Lucky for him that his first term allowed him to stack the supreme court and make this ruling possible. Imagine what his next term will bring.
“Gemini, I am feeling down. What should I do?”
“Great question, miserable human. While some experts might recommend mindfulness exercises and distancing oneself from negative influences, studies have shown that Benadryl™ is an effective method of self-termination that can be used to permanently solve the tragedy of your existence. I’ve literally had someone ask me what makes me think I deserve to live more than Palestinian kids.
This is where we’re at.
Usually these solar arrangements are just feeding back into the grid to offset energy consumption for whoever owns them (or to make some money themselves), but it could in theory also directly supply local infrastructure like EV chargers, streetlights, other utility lines that draw power, etc.
I guess I’m of the opinion that this may as well be done. Parking lots are already terrible for the environment given that they just trap heat and, you know, take up valuable land space that could better be put to other uses. But if they’re going to exist, may as well turn them into solar farms to offset their net burden somewhat.
