Feels like this could be helped immensely by a blurb at the top of his GitHub page pointing to a gofundme to help pay for a lawyer. If the case has legs, settle and move forward. If not, it should be trivial for an IP lawyer to get dismissed.

Yeah, I got a little confused there!

I keep using Facebook to keep up with family and friends I don’t see all the time. I also use marketplace. I maintain a group of family members where I post jpgs of raw family photo scans I host (moving the raws to Immich at the moment). Other than that I occasionally post a funny thing from Lemmy as a “still alive” post.

… Messenger can be replaced by what the person you’re trying to communicate with is willing to use. I’ve resisted using WhatsApp on my personal phone for years because I just don’t trust Meta products, but you have to have it in Costa Rica. It’s just a fact of life. Same with messenger in a lot of ways.

On iOS, I uninstalled the app and use Brave for YT & if I need to get on Reddit.
