Thw entire thing is weord becase climate change plays a part in EVERY weather event. The quetion is, how much it goosed it froma baslen of 100 years ago…
Even thats mostly irrelevant because … All we’re doing is making it worse.
Don’t forget about cheap labor over there
Thays not really true, it’s the automation.
For example
VW Tavascan has zero connected services here in Australia.
BYD has 10c on some new cars on their 1000V platform
LDV have a couple in Australia, the e7 and bigger e9.
Do you mean the Seagull ? We don’t even have that model in Australia or do you mean BYD?
EV direct seemed to be doing a shit job and were caught falt footed with BYDs popularity. Particularly the Shark 6 in Aus. I remember an interview with the EV Direct guy and he said 25 years in the car industry, he’d never seen anything like the popularity of the Shark 6.
I’ve never met anyone IRL in the 25 years I’ve been concerned, by that I mean beyond “oh yeah, climate change”.
On the other hand, I have actually met many people who say if it was really a serious issue, Government would so something about it :)
It’s why i now live much nearer the south pole, as a climate refugee :). Went from Latitude S19 to S30, stayed a decade, relaised not far enough and faster then expected, now at S42.
That’s actually the GOP motto.
I don’t own a boat :( nor woukd i want to split this lovely pair up, nor would they want to join me in my kayak
Dual booting with Ubutu a couple tiimes over the last decade, then tried dual booting with Mint 3 years ago on W10, thenW11 is annouced, seems the enshitifaction would be worse but, didn’t use Mint, same reasn I’d not used Ubuntu, fell back on the familiar.
Purchased a new NVME 2 years ago, instilled Mint on it and took the dual boot NVME physically out, 3 months later formated it and use it for Timeshift :) Then.went to LMDE.
Eventually got sick of the nagging on my infrequently used Surface Pro 7 about going to W11 and did the same thing there, wiped it and installed LMDE, a few hiccups but used the Surface Pro drivers from Github and got it sorted eventually, touch works etc
The main reason i stayed was Adobe Lighroom but that was enshitifying as well. I still haven’t wrapped my head around Darktable properly but less time spent on photography these days as well
I mean i actually used Wordperfect for DOS back in the day, so why ? Liber Office is a thing and works.
I went with Linux Mint Debian Edition. Couple hiccups over the last 18 months but queries in the Mint help forum fixed those problems. I use Flatpacs when I can.
I have zero idea what I’m doing :)
To answer the OP I went the other way, Obsidian to Joplin. Very mich not a heavy user
The solution to this is societal collapse and time.(1000+ years after) We can’t adapt our current civilisation quickly enough to survive this, we refuse to adapt to using lower emsisions (only thing left is radical change as we’ve run out of time) so there are no other outcomes left.
Collapse is already happening and we fiddle while the planet burns. We are all Nero now.
LibreOffice is excellent and EU based so I use and prefer that.
I don’t know, saw a “creator” who is funding her endless cruise ship journeys using YT, and all she taks about is how she funds her cruise ship journeys using YT
I have one as well (own launcher aa well) but the perennial “when in heck will they update it” becomes an issue. It is getting old now. I use Kodi and YT Next mostly but supplemnt that with some local Australia FTA TV apps (ABC and SBS). I mean where else can we get such awesome TV as “Black As”
2100 :)
