Bound to Imzadi, Champion of Anbo-jyutsu, Hurler of Asteroids, Keeper of Beards
He just Riker maneuvers the directors chair and everyone swoons.
Given that stance, I can only hope that you’ve watched The Orville. It stands as the spiritual successor to TNG. Gotta trudge through the 1st season, for the sake of getting FOX Entertainment hooked on the line.
Thereafter, they managed to tell the sort of contemporaneous stories that otherwise qualify for TNG in its time.
By “defeat” surely you mean talk them back to their humanity, resulting in some sort ot shenanigans scored by Michael Giacchino.
My money’s on main cast.
It’s also a small, presumably nimble, target.
For me, despite its pandering nature, season 3 finally clued into what the fandom was expecting from the series from day 1. Just get the damn band back together! Maybe hire a lighting technician. Ah, crap, they got the guy from the Kelvin-verse.
Sad. Sorry about that.
Sadly dropped altogether, last I heard.
Not my first time, actually. Like to keep a few in mind when the opportunity arises.
Not Kyle Gass, but Michael Keenan. Though that would’ve been cool.
No amount of money could save the weak and inconsistent writing. TAS being episodic gives it some leeway, plus the original cast lending their voices is a huge boon. Doohan doing most of the heavy lifting.
Let me put it this way: There’s a higher percentage of episodes I like from TAS vs DISCO.
ENT s2e9 “Singularity” where Archer has Trip make him a new chair and it becomes a whole thing is fun as hell.
Was watching the Trekculture ups and downs for Galaxy Quest earlier today. Seán took a moment to point out that connection.
