Start Trek was only realy living to its full potential on the premise for TNG, between seasons 3-5. Anything before was too horny hippy, anything after was too edgy. I have no opinions on NuTrek. Unless you mean about Benjamin “Mad Bomber” Sisko and his desire to put planetfulls of civillians lives at risk.

But it was good enough (like Voyager and even a bunch of Enterprise). But I’ll take 2, 6-7 over any of the other shows
