When I was a little kid I used to teleport. One second we’d be in the car driving home and suddenly I’d find myself inside my home in my bed. The transporter would even change my clothes into pajamas somehow!
They could do a lot while the people were in the buffer. Like disable weapons that were being discharged. Surprised they didn’t explore more with that on the shows, like changing clothes as you mention. Or maybe something more plot relevant. We mostly just got tons of transporter accidents, like Tuvix.
Now we’re thinking! Hadn’t occurred to me to remove shit from the bowels. Seems like you could just beam yourself to the bridge for your shift every morning doing this.
