At least all of Alexander’s annoying qualities made for a believable child character, unlike a certain other magical child genius on that ship. You try to not be an insufferable brat under those parental conditions. I wish we could have seen episode of fully adult versions of Nog, Jake, and Alexander working through some emotional baggage while stuck in a cave awaiting rescue. Those kids would have some hot and spicy takes about their various parental figures and mentors.
