Keiko was away from Miles for months, admitted to an emotional relationship with a Bajoran man, and suddenly she’s pregnant with a kid that needs to be transplanted into a Bajoran woman in order to survive gestation. I believe Kirayoshi is the Bajoran botanist’s son and I believe the writers had that in mind the whole time.
Perhaps, if he had them which would be a crapshoot for a half bajoran. Also Bashir is clearly in on it, he did the transplant, perhaps he did a bit of prenatal cosmetic surgery while he was in there.
