I don’t get how this is “Straight-washing” here. I agree there’s no need for a sex scene. Isn’t the romantic/love aspect what matters?
Depends on the intent. If the series portraits mostly faithfully the game story but then decided to omit this part from it, than it looks like straight washing to keep a low Parental Rating and avoid backlash from homophobes.
