You just sent me down a rabbit hole of Memory Alpha and the various uniforms lol. This is unrelated (I just found it interesting), but apparently there’s even a desert robe uniform:

Apparently I really am terrible at picking up on subtle costume details. I never noticed that the robes they were wearing in “Shadows and Symbols” were Starfleet issue let alone indicated their division.
