Yeah, I remember that one. But it’s just inside the Enterprise and on the outside of the sphere. So weird that there’s nothing with an actual sphere.

They get pulled in in the second part of that episode, but it’s more a “how do we escape” plot than a “look at this cool Dyson sphere” one.

Here is the D being tractored in. You can see the inside of the sphere in these shots.

When we consider that a dyson sphere encompasses a star and therefore has to be at least several AU to not fall into it, then the interior shot is laughably not to scale.

just use all the free power to reinforce the structural integrity field. what do you mean that would violate conservation of energy?

The Endymion books (followups to Hyperion) get into building one.

In some of Neal Asher’s books there is mention of a Dyson Sphere being constructed.

If you want to have a go of making one yourself, there is Dyson Sphere Program.

EDIT: “Bowl of Heaven” is another “not exactly a Dyson Sphere” novel, it takes place on a structure that is half a Dyson Sphere. Co-written by Gary Benford and Larry Niven. (author of “Ringworld”)

In Hamilton’s Night’s Dawn trilogy the Mosdva have constructed a partial dyson sphere (interlinked diskcities)
