Gee, I wonder why? It’s not as if they were trying their best to make trans people’s lives miserable in every single way imaginable, right?
Yeah, that’s the tragedy about this, isn’t it?! The community knows because it affects all of us and it’s our peers who are dying, but we need a platform to get the news out, because our suffering has been so normalized.
The other problem is that even this gets turned into propaganda against us and a tool to target us

How does the average wait even get to 25 years? Is the average person getting HRT in England a 40 year old who applied when they were 15?
Only ‘officially’. If those in the UK have money or HRT supply networks they quite happily get it elsewhere.
