And then you realize Siddig’s full name is Siddig el-Tahir el-Fadil el-Siddig Abdurrahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim el-Mahdi and James Callis’ full name is James Nicholas Callis.

IIRC the long name is because of the Sudanese tradition to name a child after everyone who was in the room when they were born.
The point being that they likely have differences in their heritage. Alexander is also essentially Sudan Aristocracy
