I love this episode, but DS9 did it better.
Such a proud father for too brief a time.
And like all fathers their children will live inside them, even if they’re not around any longer.
Um… if Odo is the father, how would you describe what happens at the end of the episode?
He’s not the biological father. He’s the father who stepped up. I would describe the ending of that episode as a beautiful and unique story about caring for someone because you’ve been in their shoes, trying to carve a path for someone and discovering it’s easier said than done, and dealing with the fact that no amount of love can overcome some tragedies, but you can learn to live with the aftermath with love. I would also probably do this through tears.

Then I found out they wrote season 2 and 3 at the same time. They basically gave Stuart everything he wanted to do in the 2nd season so they could break all his stupid rules for coming back in the 3rd one.
I’m pretty neutral on Picard for the most part, except for how they did my boy Shaw dirty.
They did Picard’s parents dirty, and somehow time traveled them back to the 1600s.
